Hospitality Security Advisor, LLC founders, Kevin Belligiere and Paul Frederick began their careers as hotel security officers, Paul at the Palmer House Hilton Chicago and Kevin at the Sheraton New York.
Paul was promoted to Director of Security at the Hilton New York Midtown on Avenue of the Americas at 53rd Street and soon met Kevin, Director of Security at the Sheraton New York on 7th Avenue at 53rd Street.
With the hotel side entrances across the street from each other, the two quickly developed a professional working relationship. Intelligence sharing meetings soon became coffee at the food cart on 53rd and 7th and eventually turned into a long-term business relationship and friendship.
They pioneered an industry best practice of competitors sharing a radio frequency on their two-way radios to share relevant information pertinent to the security of each hotel on a daily basis, and in some cases hourly, instead of waiting for scheduled monthly meetings with city-wide law enforcement officials and hotel security directors.
In 2013, Paul had the opportunity to work with Kevin and accepted a job as VP of Global Security and Safety at Starwood Hotels after a long-time business relationship with a competitor.
Their many years of shared professional advice along with their personal relationship has allowed them to experience together many hospitality security issues and develop best practices that are currently in place worldwide.
